RSS, THUNDERBIRD…AND THE END OF FILE SHARING IN CANADA?

Greetings,

One of the cool things about being interested in tech stuff is the sheer diversity of topics out there.

RSS/THUNDERBIRD: RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is the hottest thing on blogs these days. Basically, it involves subscribing to “feeds” and instantly having an update to a blog (or web site, doesn’t matter) sent to your computer. One of the best options for this right now is Thunderbird, which is both an email client and RSS reader. It’s also open source and far, far superior to anything else out there. You can get it here. Also, if you want to add me to your RSS client, here’s my site feed:

THE END OF FILE-SHARING IN CANADA? It only figures this was going to happen at some point. I can’t say I’m surprised but it looks like file-sharing over LimeWire and BitTorrent is going to become an illegal activity here in Canada. As my colleague Mike said the other day, “we’re so delightfully backward this way!”
